Infrastructure and Facility Requirements

I. Classroom Facilities

The institution shall provide adequately furnished classrooms with a minimum seating capacity of 25 students. Each classroom shall have a minimum carpet area of 225 square feet and must ensure a conducive learning environment through:

  • Adeate natural and artificial lighting.

  • Proper ventilation and air circulation.

  • Well-maintained blackboard and/or whiteboard.

  • Sufficient seating and writing furniture for students and faculty.

  • Ceiling fans or other suitable cooling arrangements.

II. Laboratory Facilities

The institution shall maintain a well-equipped laboratory for practical training with a minimum area of 25 feet × 20 feet for every batch of 25 students. The laboratory shall be adequately illuminated and ventilated, with provision for exhaust fans and/or ceiling fans.

The laboratory shall have the following minimum equipment and teaching aids:

III. Physical Facilities

The institution shall ensure the availability of essential physical amenities, including:

  • Safe and adequate drinking water facilities.

  • Separate and hygienic toilet facilities for male and female students.

  • Adequate bathroom and washroom facilities.

  • Proper sanitation and cleanliness within the campus.

IV. Library Facilities

The institution shall maintain a library with a minimum collection of 20 books, journals, articles, magazines, and other reference materials relevant to the respective courses and subjects offered.

The library should provide a suitable environment for study and academic research.

V. Clinical Facilities

The institution shall have access to clinical training facilities either through its own clinic/hospital or through formal collaboration with a reputed clinic or hospital.

The clinical facility shall, at a minimum, provide:

  • Outpatient Department (OPD) services.

  • Dressing and basic treatment facilities.

Institutions utilizing external clinical facilities shall submit a valid Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or collaboration certificate with the associated clinic/hospital.

The attached clinic/hospital shall be subject to verification and inspection by the Council during the inspection process.
